1. Do you have food?
We currently have several 'small plates' and the full menu can be found here:
We also, at times, will have specials of the day. Feel free to call us (651-485-4399) to check out the specials of the day or check our Facebook page. Additionally, we ask that you refrain from bringing in your own food. However, if you are having a special event and want to bring in a cake or something, just call to let us know that is your intention so that we know in advance to expect this.
2. Is Bear Bones Winery accessible for wheel chairs?
We have a side entrance that is accessible to the tasting bar. Our outdoor spaces in the yard are also accessible.
3. Is there outdoor seating?
We have an outdoor pavillion with picnic tables, outdoor tables with umbrellas, a back patio with tables and also an outdoor fire pit with chairs. Lots of fun outdoor options available.
4. Are you pet friendly?
Our outdoor spaces are pet friendly for pets on a leash. We also ask that you clean up after your pet. We are pet owners ourselves and know how the ability to bring along the furry family members is important to many of us :-)
5. Is smoking allowed?
Our indoor and outdoors locations are all smoke free.
6. Do you have a wine club?
We plan to have a wine club but have been focused on all the other aspects of opening a winery. Check back at a later date or watch Facebook as we will provide information at it becomes available.
7. Do you ship?
We will be able to ship to Wisconsin and we are looking at how to ship to other states as well. Check back on this also as we will provide information as this gets going.
8. Do you grow your own fruit for your wines?
We have an orchard/vineyard on Hwy 25 between Cumberland and Rice Lake(Licks Orchard/Vineyard). At this location we presently have over 400 apple trees and more than 700 grape vines. The varieties selected were intended to make the most flavorful wine and cider. Therefore, a great deal of our grapes and other fruit, used in making the wines, come from this location. We do also source grapes and other fruit from local growers.
9. Do you sell apples at the orchard site?
At this point all of our fruit grown in the vineyard and orchard goes to making the wine. At some future date, we may open the orchard for the sale of apples.
10. Do you have music supplies and guitars?
In our gift shop, we have an amazing selection of guitars and music supplies. Jim also provides setups and restringing services.
11. Do you have wine themed items in your gift shop?
We are adding to the wine themed items and edgy fun items all the time. We have a fun selection of greeting cards, other SWAG items that include t-shirts, sweatshirts, flannels and teddy bears, candles and other home decor as well. Additionally a full selction of Old Guys Rule t-shirts!
